Verrado Golf Club
Links to official sourceTwo 18-hole desert courses — the Founders Course and the Victory Course — in the White Tank foothills, with public tee times.
Book early in the hot months and take more water than you think you'll need. Verrado Golf Club is a 36-hole public-access golf club with two 18-hole desert courses up in the White Tank foothills, and you don't have to live here to play. The club's homepage credits the design to PGA Tour player Tom Lehman, and the Founders Course page names John Fought and Lehman as co-architects of that layout.
| Founders Course | Victory Course | |
|---|---|---|
| Address | 4242 N. Golf Dr. | 20855 W. Tiger Mountain Dr. |
| Character (per the club) | Mountainside setting with rock outcroppings, desert washes, box canyons and big elevation changes; nearly 7,300 yards from the tips, with five sets of tees | Lehman design that works with the natural rocky terrain |
| Club-listed phone | (623) 388-3000 (main) | (623) 518-9967 |
The two courses aren't next door to each other. The club's FAQ says Victory sits about 1.5 miles north of Founders, and players get themselves between the two.
Who can play
Pretty much anyone. The club takes public tee times along with passholder bookings. If you play a lot, it sells annual passes covering both courses; availability and pricing are on its passholder programs page, which notes that some pass types are sold out or renewal-only. And if you're just learning, the club offers golf instruction.
If you're new, know that golf isn't an HOA amenity. The club runs its own passes and rates, so ask the club, not the association.
Before you book
The FAQ says the public can book tee times up to 60 days ahead, online or by phone. Changes or cancellations within 48 hours of your tee time are charged unless the club makes an exception, so read the policy before you lock in a foursome. Rental clubs are available if you ask for them when you book; the FAQ has the details.
Planning an October round? The club's course maintenance page lists scheduled closures for both courses. For Founders that includes fall overseed work running through late October, followed by a stretch of cart-path-only play. The club says dates can change, so look before you book.
The Grille and the Cliff House
The Grille (the club also calls it Verrado Grille) is the club's restaurant, inside the Founders clubhouse at 4242 N. Golf Drive. Order the Brisket Mac & Cheese. It's the signature: fusilli in a three-cheese cream sauce with smoked BBQ brisket, candied jalapeños and onion strings on top. If you want the brisket in something you can hold, the Brisket Sandwich comes on ciabatta with cabbage slaw and the same candied jalapeños. Save room for the corn-flake crusted Fried Ice Cream. The rest of the menu runs from VG Wings (lemon pepper and Texas are two of the dry rubs) to a 12 oz ribeye, lemon dill salmon and the Zona Salad (June 2026 menu).
When to go: happy hour is 2 to 5 PM on weekdays, and that's the sweet spot. The club's page talks up the open patio, the indoor/outdoor bar and the Sonoran sunset views, so in cooler months, take a patio seat and stay through sunset. Breakfast runs 8 to 11 AM daily (same menu PDF). The April 2026 menu also advertised trivia every Monday from 6 to 8 PM (April 2026 menu), but the June menu doesn't mention it, so call before you round up a team.
Hours on The Grille page: Sunday through Thursday 8 AM to 8 PM, Friday and Saturday 8 AM to 9 PM. For a table of 6 to 20, reserve at (623) 388-3013. Groups over 20 go through catering at (623) 388-3017. The page doesn't say whether dining changes while Founders is closed for overseeding, so if you're going in late October, call first.
Up at the Victory Course (20855 W. Tiger Mountain Dr.), The Cliff House is a cliffside snack shack with drinks, sandwiches and salads. The club's Cliff House page has current hours and the menu.
The club also hosts weddings and social events. Contact the club about venues and dates.
Visiting golfers
If your golf buddies are flying in, the club's FAQ points visitors to the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Verrado, which it lists about 2.4 miles from Founders.
To book, start at Verrado Golf Club or go straight to public tee times. The course maintenance schedule and FAQ are worth a look first, and our Verrado outdoors guide covers the rest of the outdoor options.
