Heritage Swim Park

Check that your household's amenity access is active before you load up the car. Heritage Swim Park is Verrado's resident resort-style aquatic facility in the Heritage District, the family-oriented part of the community anchored by the swim park and Verrado Heritage Elementary. It is not a public city pool, so if your access isn't set up, you won't get through the gate.

What's there

The official page lists a free-form, resort-style pool, a wading pool with beach entry and a splash pad, and a pool house with changing rooms and lockers. Outside the water there's a firepit, "BBQ grills aplenty," ramadas (one of them an Adult Ramada) and covered café-style seating off the Great Lawn. If you've got little ones, head for the beach-entry wading pool and splash pad. If you want to swim real laps, the lap pool at The Center on Main is the better bet (Center on Main page).

Who can go

verrado.com says it plainly: it's a private facility "for resident use only." Access is tied to Verrado Community Association membership and your resident access card, so get your card sorted the week you move in.

The VCA sets the amenity card, guest and teen-access rules, so check its current rules on the verrado.com FAQ or with the Verrado Community Association before you bring guests.

Victory (55+) residents have their own set of amenities through the Victory District Association, so don't assume swim-park access works the same way in every district.

Where it fits

The swim park is in Heritage. Our Neighborhoods page gives the overview, and verrado.com keeps a Heritage news archive (its old Heritage district page now redirects to a news post about the district's next party park, not a district overview). Verrado Heritage Elementary (LESD #79) is nearby.

If you're after a workout rather than a swim, The Center on Main is the resident fitness and community spot on Main Street. City and county parks are great for trails and day use, but they don't change the swim park's access rules.

Beating the heat

Midday asphalt in a West Valley summer is no joke. Go in the early morning or evening, when the deck and the parking lot are friendlier. Bring water, sunscreen, and shoes that can handle hot decking, because bare feet on that concrete in the middle of the afternoon is a lesson you only need once.

There's no lifeguard on duty, so you're the lifeguard. The pool rules also say no glass (that includes snorkel masks with tempered glass), no food or drinks within 4 feet of the edge, and swim diapers for babies. If monsoon weather rolls in, treat lightning and sudden storms as a real reason to get out of the water.

If someone in your group needs shade or cooling, plan for it before you get there. The ramadas and the covered café-style seating are your shade. Don't count on an open spot on a hot Saturday; bring your own shade plan.

Before you go

Confirm your access, check the official channels for hours and any temporary closures, and read the guest policy if you're bringing friends. And the swim park isn't an event lawn.
