How these roundups are made

Each roundup collects public reporting from the past week about Verrado and the surrounding part of Buckeye. That includes city announcements, local news stories, school district updates, new business openings, and road projects. An automated research pipeline drafts each roundup from cited sources. Then filters hold back anything that's off-topic, poorly sourced, outside the date window, or below our quality bar. A good share of drafts never get published, and that's on purpose.

So click through. Every item should link its source, and if a claim matters to you, read the original; the source wins if it disagrees with our summary.

Treat each roundup as a snapshot. A road closure or opening date that was right on the publish date can change the next day. Each card shows its date and a freshness tag: This week (under 7 days old), This month (up to 30 days), or Older. Older roundups are faded so you don't mistake them for current news.

We report themes, not people. When residents raise complaints, we paraphrase the theme and never name or quote individuals.

Where official news comes from

For anything official, go to the people who make the decision:

Local outlets such as InBuckeye, the West Valley View, and Phoenix TV stations often report Verrado news first. Our roundups link to them when they do.

Tips and corrections

Seen something we should cover, like a new opening, a road change, or a city decision? Send us a tip. A link to a public source we can check (a business page, a city notice, an event listing, or a news story) makes it much easier to include. Spot an error in a roundup? Use the same form, and we'll fix it.

New to the area? Start with our guides, then check back here weekly.
