Want to meet people fast? Join a club or show up to one Assembly event in your first month. The Verrado Assembly is the community-engagement nonprofit in Verrado's three-part setup. The Main Street at Verrado directory describes its job as improving residents' quality of life through volunteer service, neighborhood activities, and community-wide events and programs.
It sits alongside the Verrado Community Association, which handles standards and common areas, and the Victory District Association for the 55+ Victory district. Rule of thumb: if it's a rule or a bill, it's the association. If it's a party, club or volunteer shift, it's probably the Assembly.
Who it's for
New residents who want to meet neighbors. Families hunting for kid-friendly community events. Hobbyists looking for a club, from fitness to crafts; verrado.com keeps a Clubs & Activities page. And volunteers who'd rather help run things than just show up.
There are "over 75 clubs and groups," per Verrado's Clubs & Groups list (a 2024 list), and they cover a lot of ground. Outdoorsy? Try the Hiking Club, the Birding Club or the Lost Creek Bike Club. Gamers and card players have the Knights of Verrado Chess Club, Mahjong, Bunco, the Canasta Card Club, Bridge Players of Verrado and V-Town Game Night. There's the Main Street Book Club, the Garden Club, the Camera Club, Center Stage Theater Co. and the Astronomy Association of Arizona at Verrado. For sports it's the Pickleball Club, Men's Softball and Ladies Kickball, and for families there's the Tiny Tots Play Group, Homeschool Families of Verrado and the Lego Club. Car people have the White Tanks Corvette Club and White Tank Customs and Classics, and there's an RV Club, a Rotary Club and the Coffee Klatsch Club. If you're from the middle of the country, yes, there's a club called the Midwesterners.
Victory has its own clubs on the same list, including the UNCORKED! Wine Club, the Ukulele Club, the Bocce Club, the Victory Veterans Club and Soundbaths at Victory. Between clubs and everything else, Verrado's 2026 Regent Hills brochure counts "over 50 resident events and activities each month" (brochure).
The big events
Main Street at Verrado's events page credits the Verrado Community Life team with the community's signature events, and it highlights two traditions.
Founder's Day weekend is Verrado's annual hometown celebration, and it's in March; the Regent Hills brochure sums it up as "annual concert, carnival and more." The events page describes a multi-day lineup with things for adults and kids, and live music that has included touring acts over the years. In 2025 it ran Friday to Sunday, March 21 to 23, with a '90s kick-off, a Block Party headlined by Collective Soul and a Sunday Community Picnic with a BBQ Rib Competition and carnival games (verrado.com). It's the weekend I'd tell a new neighbor not to miss.
Hometown Holidays is the annual tree lighting that closes out the year on Main Street, in early December. The tree on the Village Green is a 43-foot live tree, and 2022 was the 19th annual lighting, with food trucks (verrado.com). The 2026 date hasn't been announced yet.
Spirit of Independence is the Fourth of July: a bike parade and a fireworks show, per the Regent Hills brochure. Decorate the kids' bikes the night before.
Dates, tickets, and resident-versus-guest rules change every year. Check official Verrado channels before you plan around an event, and look for it in our homepage This week strip once it's announced.
Getting plugged in
- Set up your resident account with the association so you get community communications.
- Browse clubs on verrado.com's Clubs & Activities page and reach out to one that fits.
- Spend time on Main Street. A lot of community life happens around the Village Green and Verrado Main Street.
- Offer to help. Volunteer service is part of the Assembly's stated mission, so asking about volunteer roles is an easy way in.
Reaching the office
The Main Street directory lists the shared community office at 4236 N. Verrado Way, Suite A-201 with a main line of (623) 466-7000. For anything about your account or design review, go to the association instead.
Is it an Assembly event?
Not everything on Main Street is. Merchants and outside groups host their own happenings, so check who's organizing before you assume resident rules apply.
Victory runs its own 55+ events and programs, according to the Main Street directory, so Victory residents have a second calendar to watch. The Sunday farmers market and other recurring meetups show up in our This week strip when there's a public listing.
To find what's coming up, check the Main Street directory: Verrado Community Life listing, Verrado events on Main Street and Clubs & Activities on verrado.com. Our HOA and association basics guide explains how the three nonprofits fit together.
